Monaro Merino Association
The Association was formed in 1984 to promote Monaro Stud and Commercial sheep. Twenty two studs are members of the Stud Breeders and the Commercial Branch represents all commercial Monaro sheep breeders. Members must breed sheep in the three Shires of the Monaro, being Cooma Monaro, Snowy River and Bombala shires. MMA stud breeders must also be members of the NSW Stud Merino Breeders Association.
MMA members are field leaders in measured improvements for Merino sheep, and Monaro genetics now have a strong influence in the Australian Merino sheep breeding industry.
Monaro Merino sheep are bred in the high Monaro country of NSW adjacent to the Snowy Mountains. For more information please visit the individual stud web pages.
